About Us

Research Outcomes

Ever since its establishment and under the supervision of Professor HO Suk-han Connie, Professor CHUNG Kevin Kien-hoa and Professor CHAN Wai-oak David, the Hong Kong Specific Learning Difficulties Research Team has secured different research funding (e.g. the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Quality Education Fund, and the General Research Fund from the University Grants Committee). With such financial support, the Team has embarked on different research studies and developed a series of screening and assessment tools, as well as intervention resources (see the list below). To meet the needs of the education sector, in the early stage the Team focused it work on developing assessment tools and invention resources for primary school students so as to provide early identification and effective support to the dyslexic students. Apart from that, the Team also developed a set of assessment tools for secondary school students, and screening tools for preschool educators to screen preschool children with potential specific learning difficulties.
